Past Modern

A familiar rhythm. A different register.

One textile design, four ways to read it. Past Modern puts broad gestures beside finer detail, letting a shared pattern find a different presence in yellow, green, grey and blue. The reference feels familiar; the composition belongs to now.

Past Modern

The edge changes everything

From a distance, a clear rhythm. Up close, another pattern comes into focus. The finer woven side panel interrupts the broad bands without breaking their flow — a change of scale that gives the eye somewhere else to go.

Same score, four readings

Ena, Exi, Okto and Deka keep the same composition. Colour changes its emphasis: a different balance between ground, band and edge. Together they read as a family; apart, each holds its own.

Familiar, not fixed

Some patterns stay with us because they leave room for another interpretation. Past Modern takes the familiarity of striped textiles and gives it a precise, contemporary arrangement. Recognition is the starting point, not the conclusion.
